We offer training on both Diamond DA-40 and Cessna C-172 aircraft. In addition to this we offer Multi-Engine training on a DA-42 (Glass Cockpit-Garmin 1000). With the use of our simulator, we provide trainees a more economical means to integrate technologically advanced systems and complex maneuvers into the general flight training program.

The flight Simulator gives the trainee, Trainer, and aircraft a risk-free environment, as simulation-based training allows for training maneuver situations that may be impractical or even dangerous to perform in the real aircraft.

The Sixth batch of Graduates are the largest in number for the school. In his key note address, Capt. Solomon Gizaw (Managing Director of Abyssinian) said that the shortage of pilots reached a critical stage at the global aviation industry. According to Boeing’s recent forecast, the world needs 637,000 new pilots in the next 20 Years. Since its inception in 2007, Abyssinian Aviation Academy (formerly known as Abyssinian Pilot Training School) has graduated 138 pilots pooled from 13 different countries.

The new student dormitory is facilitated with well furnished 16 bedrooms and 3 lobbies. Moreover, the dormitory has a kitchen with a dining area, a laundry service and 24/7 security guards that work in two shifts. The dormitory is designed to accommodate up to 30 pilot training students. A shuttle bus is also prepared for the transportation of students to the airport and/or their dormitory.]]>
